In December 2019, the James & Betty Jacobs Family Charitable Trust gave a generous leadership gift of $15,000 to BCEF in support of our educational grant programs for schools in the Brunswick School District. The Trust has supported community initiatives including those for education and affordable housing, to name a few. James and Betty’s grandchildren, Phil, Rob and Hanna Jacobs, all graduated from Brunswick schools and the two sons currently have children at the High School and new Kate Furbish Elementary School. Phil Jacobs encapsulated his family’s reasons for supporting BCEF by saying, “BCEF is helping to develop programs in the community for kids to get involved in, and we’re happy to be a part of that.”
Brunswick Community Education Foundation receives no public funding and raises all funds through donations and sponsorships, making each and every contribution important to us. Goodwin Chevrolet, in particular, has been instrumental to BCEF’s success to date, with substantial donations in every one of our fundraising cycles. If your business or organization would like to join Goodwin Chevrolet as a member of our Leadership Circle and as a top supporter of public education in Brunswick, please visit our Business Partnership Program page to learn details and donate. Thank you, Goodwin Chevrolet!
